Renting equipment

How do I book a machine?+

Open a listing from Equipment search, choose your dates and logistics option, then submit a booking request. The owner approves it before the dates are locked and payment is captured.

What does 'Verified' mean on a listing?+

Plant X has reviewed the machine's documents (insurance, service log, VIN and hour-meter) for quality and compliance. You can filter search to verified equipment only.

Can I get a machine delivered?+

Yes — choose 'Owner delivery' at booking if the owner offers it. A delivery fee is shown in the price breakdown. Otherwise select 'Renter pickup'.

Listing & Owner Studio

How do I list equipment?+

From Owner Studio go to My Fleet → Add new equipment, complete the machine profile, then upload photos and verification documents. Plant X reviews it before it goes live.

Where do I see my earnings?+

Owner Studio → Earnings shows rental revenue by machine and a booking ledger. The dashboard also surfaces utilisation and active rentals.

How do I set availability?+

Open a machine from My Fleet → Edit / availability to block dates and update status (available, on hire, maintenance).

Payments & escrow

How does escrow work?+

Reservation and rental funds are held by the local escrow provider and released to the owner after a successful handover and settlement. Refundable deposits are returned less any agreed deductions.

What's included in the total?+

The price breakdown splits the daily rate × rental days, delivery fee, and a refundable deposit. Everything is shown before you confirm.

Verification & KYC

What documents do I need?+

Renters and owners upload an ID/passport and proof of address. Owners also provide business registration and a bank confirmation letter. Equipment needs insurance, a service log, VIN and hour-meter photos.

How long does verification take?+

Most submissions are reviewed within a couple of business days. You'll see the status update on your profile and equipment listing.

Bookings & inspections

What are pre- and post-rental inspections?+

Before handover the owner records hour-meter, fuel and condition with photos and signatures; the same happens on return. These protect both parties and drive the final settlement.

Can I extend a rental?+

Yes — request an extension from the booking while it's active. The owner confirms the new dates.

Account & security

How do I add another role?+

If you're verified, request an additional role (renter or owner) from your profile. Plant X reviews role changes before granting access.

Where do I change my password?+

Account settings (from the top nav or your sidebar menu) lets you update your email, profile and password.
